Etienne Landois

As Head of Design at Lazard, Etienne stewards the firm's visual strategy and digital ecosystem — spanning proprietary advisory technologies, including AI-driven financial advisory and corporate tools, flagship reports, and global social media.

He joined Lazard Financial Advisory in January 2001 — 25 years of dedicated service and institutional knowledge. Within the Global Communications team, he moved from the Paris Presentation Center to Digital & Design Project Manager in 2015, before ascending to his current leadership role in 2019 — initially based in Paris, then relocating to New York City. Prior to Lazard, he built a professional foundation in publishing and IT across Paris and Madrid.

A lifelong multi-instrumentalist, Etienne trained at the Conservatoire de musique de Saint-Nom-la-Bretèche — music theory, harmony, singing and multi-instrumentalism from the age of five — and remains an active composer and performer in New York today.

He started playing the piano at four and the violin at eight, his training spanning classical foundations to jazz classes and intensive chamber music — where he learned the vital art of listening and performing in harmony with others. At sixteen he began a ten-year study of the drums, earning his degree in the Paris region. His passion extends to the technical side of music: first recordings at fourteen on a 4-track Fostex, then mastery of computer recording tools. Today he plays the viola, the keyboard, and the Gibson Les Paul.
